We’re Christi and John, the creative duo behind Battle Mat Masters. Our journey began with two passions: art and tabletop gaming. Christi has always been an artistic soul, constantly creating—whether it’s painting, crafting, or making handmade cards with her favorite rubber stamps and stencils. Meanwhile, John is a lifelong D&D player and Dungeon Master, known for crafting epic campaigns that keep his players on the edge of their seats.

One day, while John was watching Christi work on her latest card creation, he had a spark of inspiration. "It’s too bad you can’t stamp on a dry erase board," he mused. "Those would be cool on a battle map!" That simple observation set off a lightbulb moment for both of us. What if we could make stamps and stencils that worked on the mats we use for our games?

That idea was the seed for Battle Mat Masters. We immediately began brainstorming, testing materials, and designing stamps and stencils specifically for tabletop role-playing games. Our goal? To make map creation easier, faster, and more fun for GMs and players alike.
